Job Opportunity: Senior Test Equipment Engineer (Deputy Site Lab Management)

About the Role:

Leonardo, a global leader in aerospace, defense, and security, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Equipment Engineer to join our Electronics Division. As a key member of our Support and Services Solutions (CS3) business unit and Product Support Group (PSG), you will provide critical engineering lab support to our teams.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing and maintaining a team of engineers to ensure calibration, repair, maintenance, and safety testing activities are completed efficiently.
  • Developing and implementing effective asset management strategies to maximize equipment availability.
  • Collaborating with external partners and suppliers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Hosting bi-weekly lab manager meetings with the site HSE department.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An HNC/HND in Electronic Engineering or a related field, with experience in fault finding complex electronic systems and PC controllers.
  • Knowledge of mixed technologies test equipment and PC hardware architectures.
  • Experience in a production hall or lab environment, with knowledge of maintenance requirements for general-purpose and special-to-type test equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with HSE teams, IPTs, and equipment operators.
