Job Title: Principal Test Equipment Engineer

At Leonardo, we are seeking an experienced Principal Test Equipment Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our Radar and Advanced Targeting line of business, you will play a crucial role in delivering effective engineering support to our S3 business unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a close-knit team of engineers to ensure calibration, repair, maintenance, and safety testing activities are executed efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with external partners, suppliers, and customers to ensure seamless asset management.
  • Optimize periodicity of calibration and maintenance operations to drive down repair costs and improve quality.
  • Identify and eliminate pattern faults to enhance overall performance.
  • Collaborate with customers, test equipment design authorities, manufacturing hall supervisors, and equipment operators to provide successful technical issue resolution.
Requirements:
  • Education to HND/Degree level in an engineering discipline.
  • Previous team leadership experience or a desire to develop a career in team leadership.
  • Strong technical leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in debugging and fault finding of complex electronic systems.
  • Knowledge of measurement systems and the full product design lifecycle.
