Job Title: Principal Test Equipment Engineer

Job Summary:

Leonardo is seeking a highly skilled Principal Test Equipment Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our Electronics Division, you will provide engineering support to our Support and Services Solutions (S3) business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers to ensure effective calibration, repair, maintenance, and safety testing of equipment.
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize equipment availability and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to ensure effective asset management and minimize downtime.
  • Provide technical leadership and problem-solving skills to drive improvements in equipment maintenance and testing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, test equipment design authorities, and manufacturing hall supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Education to HND/Degree level in an engineering discipline.
  • Previous team leadership experience or a desire to develop a career in team leadership.
  • Strong technical leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in debugging and fault-finding of complex electronic systems.
  • Knowledge of measurement systems and the full product design lifecycle.
