Senior Test Equipment Engineer (Deputy Site Lab Management Edinburgh)

Job Overview:

Leonardo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Equipment Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our Test Systems Engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering effective Engineering Lab management and support services to our users across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and approve General Risk Assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Lead a team of engineers in ensuring calibration, repair, maintenance, and safety testing activities are completed efficiently.
  • Develop close working relationships with external partners and suppliers for effective asset management.

Deputy Site Laboratory Manager (Edinburgh Site):

  • Host bi-weekly Lab Manager Meetings with the site HSE department.
  • Manage and approve General Risk Assessments.

Requirements:

  • HNC/HND in Electronic Engineering or a related subject with experience in fault finding complex electronic systems and PC controllers.
  • Experience with mixed technologies test equipment and knowledge of computer PC hardware architectures and PC troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience in a Production Hall or Lab environment with knowledge of maintenance requirements of general purpose and special-to-type test equipment.
  • Ability to work closely with HSE, IPTs, and Equipment Operators.
