Position: Hospitality Education Specialist (Front of House)

Required Experience: Previous teaching or training experience is not necessary, as our client will equip you with all the resources and guidance required to become a certified trainer.

Current Responsibilities: You will be engaged in a managerial role within the front-of-house hospitality sector. A background in hotel management or event coordination is beneficial.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid model with travel across the Kent region (candidates must possess a valid driver's license and have access to their own vehicle).

Compensation: Starting salary of £27,000.

As a Hospitality Education Specialist, you can say farewell to weekend shifts and impart your expertise to a new generation of hospitality professionals.

Your Role as a Hospitality Education Specialist:

In this position, you will benefit from the flexibility of remote work while also traveling to various locations within your region to meet with your learners in person.

Working Monday to Friday, a typical week will consist of 2-3 days dedicated to visiting your hospitality apprentices, with the remaining time spent working from home; conducting online meetings with apprentices and handling administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with hospitality apprentices both in their workplaces and online.
  • Utilize your industry expertise to educate the next generation of hospitality professionals.
  • Meet with new apprentices to assess their learning requirements.
  • Illustrate the significance of English and mathematics in hospitality to assist your apprentices with their functional skills.
  • Visit employers to provide constructive feedback on their apprentices' competencies.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with local employers.
  • Complete administrative and planning tasks using Google Suite and internal systems.

About You:

We are looking for enthusiastic hospitality professionals eager to share their knowledge and make a significant impact in the hospitality sector. To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Proven experience at a Hospitality Management level, combined with a passion for teaching.
  • Experience overseeing one or more of the following areas: Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Front Office, Reception & Reservations, Conference & Events, Outlet, Kitchen.
  • Strong technological and administrative skills.
  • A Level 2 (GCSE) qualification in English and mathematics, or a willingness to pursue this.
  • A valid driving license and access to your own vehicle for regional travel.
