Position Overview:

Taylor Woodrow is seeking a skilled Commercial Manager to oversee commercial operations across various projects in the region. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing commercial activities for a range of infrastructure initiatives, including urban redevelopment, traffic enhancement, and energy-related upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of commercial project initiation procedures within the designated area.
  • Supervise the regional commercial team to ensure effective performance.
  • Facilitate the procurement of materials and external services in alignment with company policies, maintaining accurate records.
  • Develop comprehensive work package documentation and ensure contributions from the project team are completed.
  • Prepare inclusive tender invitations and conduct thorough evaluations, making award recommendations in line with procurement protocols.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain to foster continuous improvement in cost efficiency, quality, and knowledge sharing.
  • Enhance cash flow through timely valuation preparations, invoice submissions, and payment collections.
  • Oversee the prompt preparation and resolution of final accounts, including any variations, claims, and disputes.
  • Formulate strategies for effective client negotiations.
  • Assess plant and equipment utilization to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Generate precise and timely Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports and forecasts, contributing to financial target setting.
  • Identify potential project risks and opportunities early on, ensuring they are effectively managed.

Candidate Profile:

  • Possession of a formal qualification in quantity surveying or commercial management.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing commercial operations across multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in working with NEC contracts is essential.
  • Chartered status or progress towards chartership is a plus.
