Role Title: Commercial Strategy Manager

Role Purpose:

The Commercial Strategy Manager plays a crucial role in the Vodafone Business Group Products and Services Team. This position involves developing market-leading commercial strategies to guide local markets and ensure the success of products globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop commercial blueprints for products, including defining recommended commercial models and example commercial packages and costs.
  2. Produce commercial guidance for local markets, detailing commercial components of the product, commercial insight, commercial advantages, pricing guidelines, and best practices.
  3. Analyse data and insight to turn into commercial recommendations, defining data and insight requirements for commercial decision-making.
  4. Act as commercial lead during the product development cycle, providing expert advice on commercial models, business case drivers, and commercial enablers.
  5. Define commercial requirements for internal and external suppliers, working closely with stakeholders.
  6. Provide commercial input into RFPs, including commercial analysis and comparison of vendor proposals.
  7. Collaborate with local markets to share commercial expertise, insight, and best practices, and understand market needs.
  8. Work with local markets and product teams to identify opportunities to test ground-breaking commercial innovation.
  9. Produce detailed commercial models and analysis, developing recommendations to improve performance.

What You Will Achieve:

  1. Create commercial blueprints for B&C products and produce commercial guidance to help local markets be successful.
  2. Develop innovative commercial approaches in conjunction with local markets and product teams.
  3. Identify emerging market/customer trends and develop commercial action plans and models based on these trends.
  4. Ensure commercial requirements are captured in the product development process.

Requirements:

  1. Commercial skills and experience, including commercial modelling, data analysis, and pricing.
  2. Strategy development.
  3. Communication and stakeholder management skills, including strong collaboration and influencing.
  4. Proven track record of successful commercial innovation.
