About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine/Anaesthetist to join our team at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the Intensive Care Consultant on-call rota and Hot Week system
  • Complete regular sessions in their dual specialty
  • Perform all duties and have all responsibilities of a Consultant Intensivist
Person Specification
  • Full registration with the GMC with valid license to practice
  • FFICM, EDIC or equivalent
  • CCT or eligibility within 6 months
  • Possession of / eligibility for Fellowship / Associate Fellowship of Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine
  • Eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Dual CCT or equivalent
  • Certificate in Medical Education
  • Membership of professional societies
  • Practical experience in the management of critical care patients
  • Previous appointments that have provided professional training in Intensive Care Medicine
