About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Play Specialist to join our outreach services team at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic and generic play and leisure activities for babies, children, and young people within our hospice and community settings.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Planning and delivering play and leisure activities that meet the needs of children and young people with complex needs
  • Providing guidance and leadership to the wider Play Team
  • Supporting the team in promoting and maintaining good teamwork and collaboration
  • Working closely with the Family Support Lead on employee relations activities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Fully qualified Health Play Specialist with registration with HPSET
  • Experience working with babies and children of all ages, including those with complex needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
