About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Play Specialist to join our Outreach Services team at Rainbows Children's Hospice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering play activities that meet the needs of children with complex needs.

As a Play Specialist, you will work closely with our Family Support Lead to ensure that all children have access to play and leisure activities, and that our team is equipped to provide the best possible support. You will also be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our Play Team, and for promoting good teamwork and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver play activities that meet the needs of children with complex needs
  • Work closely with the Family Support Lead to ensure that all children have access to play and leisure activities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Play Team
  • Promote good teamwork and collaboration
  • Oversee all activities and ensure that they are delivered to a high standard
Requirements
  • Fully qualified Health Play Specialist and registered with HPSET
  • Experience working with babies and children of all ages
  • Experience working with children with complex needs
  • Ability to travel around the East Midlands and get to rural locations
