**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Ensure the efficient processing of all financial documentation, including purchase invoices and staff expenses, in accordance with company procedures.
  • Manage the purchase ledger process, including receiving and distributing invoices for authorisation.
  • Input financial data into our accounting system, Sage 50 Accounts, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations, investigating any discrepancies.
  • Guarantee a high standard of control and e-filing for all financial documents.
  • Manage the company's pre-payment card, inputting invoices and reconciling statements on a weekly basis.
  • Resolve creditor queries via email or telephone, and maintain accurate records.
  • Regularly review and chase missing invoices or receipts to ensure timely payment.
  • Process weekly subcontractor runs and upload to Sage.
  • Verify new subcontractors on HMRC and maintain accurate records.
  • Submit monthly HMRC CIS Returns.
  • Distribute monthly project cost reports from Sage to contract managers.
  • Audit nominal codes to ensure correct allocation.
  • Maintain the asset register and depreciation accounts.
  • Assist with sales ledger invoicing and payment run processing as required.

**Requirements:**

  • Experience with Sage 50.
  • High attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate work.
  • Working knowledge of CIS and Domestic Reverse Charge preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
  • Good all-round IT skills, including MS Office.
