This is a crucial position within the team, requiring daily support to the Group Finance Director and close collaboration with key stakeholders to drive financial strategy, insight, and performance.

The ideal candidate will be a proven Finance Manager with strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills, proficient leadership qualities, and the ability to work well under pressure.

The successful candidate will produce financial and management information to drive strategic decision making and business performance, champion finance across the business, and ensure processes are robust and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the Finance Director and senior leadership team with accurate financial reporting and analysis.
  • Producing management accounts, balance sheet reconciliation, and inter-company transactions.
  • Managing and leading projects and initiatives to improve financial processes and continuous improvement.
  • Delegating work, leading and coaching the team, ensuring all training is in place, sharing knowledge and ideas.
  • Supporting the wider business in recommending change and leading projects and initiatives to improve financial processes.
Requirements:
  • Available for permanent work in Liverpool.
  • A qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or qualified by experience.
  • Possess strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient leadership qualities.
  • Capable of working well under pressure, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Sage, and MRP.
