Financial Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Analysis Manager to join our team at Workingmums. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in providing financial advice and guidance to our directors and service managers.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and financial reporting. You will be responsible for providing regular financial updates and advice to budget holders and managers, as well as preparing government financial returns and grant claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial advice and guidance to directors and service managers
- Prepare regular financial updates and reports
- Assist with the preparation of the Council's accounts and deal with audit queries
- Prepare financial appraisals and performance projections
- Respond to and action recommendations raised by Internal and External Audit
Requirements:
- Part qualified (CCAB or CIMA part qualified or AAT/equivalent qualified with suitable experience)
- Knowledge of financial software packages, enquiry packages, and corporate accounting systems
- Experience of working accurately with procedures and deadlines in a financial environment
- Experience of preparing budgets and final accounts within a framework of recognised accounting standards
