Financial Management Specialist

Reed Finance is seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing financial support and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Statutory Accounts Production
    1. Prepare annual statutory accounts for all group entities, ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
    2. Act as primary contact for the Group's External Audit, ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory financial reporting requirements.
    3. Assist the Group Head of Financial Management in producing the annual report for the statutory accounts.
  2. Financial Management
    1. Oversee production of accurate and timely entity management accounts for the Group and corresponding board reporting.
    2. Review CBS capital and development accounting program, including managing capitalisation of the new ERP system and future capital projects.
    3. Assist with implementation of the new ERP system, support redesign of existing processes, and introduce robust system controls.
    4. Support the Group Head of Financial Management in producing, implementing, and monitoring financial plans and policies.
    5. Contribute to the Group's continuous improvement agenda, including managing and providing financial assistance for service reviews, and benchmarking the Group's activities.
  3. Relationship Management
    1. Liaise with funders, regulatory bodies, Internal and External Auditors, and other third-party or voluntary partners of the Group, including attending Board/EMT meetings as appropriate.
  4. Leadership
    1. Manage day-to-day operation and delivery of comprehensive Financial Management Services within the direct responsibility of the post holder.
  5. Other
    1. Provide cover and support as necessary to ensure the smooth delivery of wider Finance Team services, minimizing disruption of core services during busy periods.
    2. Promote equality and diversity, and ensure non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work.

This role will be fully remote and will consider candidates with the relevant experience from any area in the UK.
