Overview
As a key member of the Triumph Group's Supply Chain team, the Work Transfer Manager will be responsible for managing the transfer of work between suppliers in the UK and those in lower-cost economies. This role will involve close collaboration with the in-region team, who will be working closely with suppliers and their sub-tiers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the business and the supply chain resources in lower-cost economies for parts in the Work Transfer process stage
• Manage Work Transfer Projects in accordance with Triumph's supply chain management processes, defining project deliverables, risk assessments, detailed project planning, action owners, progress tracking, overlap plans, CMPT & PPI alignment, and maintaining project schedules
• Collaborate with business functions such as Supply Chain, Quality, Program Management, Engineering, etc. to ensure comprehensive product/part manufacturing knowledge is transferred to the in-region team before Work Transfer is initiated
• Work with the in-region team to ensure supplier technical requirements reviews, production readiness, and first article flow plans are robust and in place to deliver projects in compliance with customer requirements
• Support visits from lower-cost economy suppliers for business reviews, technical assessments, etc
• Manage purchase orders for parts in the WT Phase and exit supplier relationships to ensure a smooth transfer without creating risk to the business
• Provide regular updates to the business, OpCo leadership, and corporate supply chain leadership on Work Transfer progress and identify areas requiring assistance
• Contribute to the improvement of Triumph's supply chain processes
Performance Measures include:
Meeting reporting deadlines as per the agreed delivery plan, setting and achieving goals through ongoing appraisal.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a Business Management-related subject (ideally Supply Chain) or Engineering
CIPS or APICS qualification is preferred.
Required Skills:
Strong project management skills and experience
Excellent organizational skills, time management, and ability to multitask
Familiarity with Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, and Production Planning concepts
Excellent IT skills – MS Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
