We are currently seeking a skilled Facilities Operations Manager. In this role, you will collaborate with the existing Workplace Manager to oversee the daily operations of our facilities and services. This is a full-time, permanent role based in our distinctive game development studio.

WHAT WE DO

  • The Facilities Operations Team is tasked with ensuring that the workplace, building, and services function seamlessly to support our core business.
  • We strive to create a creative, supportive, and secure working environment for all staff.
  • We manage both hard and soft facilities services, including maintenance, security, cleaning, catering, and space strategy.
  • We ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • We collaborate with senior leadership to implement proactive real estate growth strategies and manage capital projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the facilities and services at Rockstar Dundee, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for employees and visitors.
  • Work with other Workplace Managers to lead the Workplace Services team, ensuring professionalism and high standards while providing coaching and development.
  • Build and maintain relationships with support functions to ensure the office's needs are met effectively.
  • Manage contracts for facilities services, including procurement, budget oversight, negotiation, and performance management.
  • Lead Workplace Services projects from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are kept informed.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory requirements, including Health & Safety and sustainability regulations.
  • Document and develop operational processes and compliance documents for facilities management.
  • Collaborate with Security and Business Protection teams to monitor and report on risks and security measures.
  • Work with Technical Services to ensure compliance and maintenance of standards.
  • Oversee space and desk utilization in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure efficiency and alignment with studio needs.
  • Assist the Workplace Strategy Team with global projects and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree level education or equivalent vocational experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a multi-disciplinary Workplace team with strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience in managing service contracts, including procurement and performance oversight.

  • Strong understanding of current safety legislation and best practices.
  • Detail-oriented, flexible self-starter with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong planning and project management skills with a comprehensive perspective.
  • Process-driven yet outcome-focused, with a commitment to quality improvement.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively, managing workload effectively and knowing when to seek guidance.
  • Ability to advance Workplace Services initiatives while maintaining excellent relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience in related business support fields such as IT, Administration, or Operations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to coach and develop team members to achieve service goals.
  • Enthusiastic approach to team motivation while upholding standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong numerical and IT skills.

PLUSES

These are desirable skills and not mandatory for application:

  • IWFM or IFMA qualification.
  • NEBOSH Safety Qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in the Creative Industries such as video games, film, or music.
  • Familiarity with work order systems and project management platforms.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
