Position: Regulatory Compliance Lead
Location: Reading
Compensation: Up to £42,500 plus performance bonus
Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5:30 PM
About the Position
We are in search of a proactive and seasoned individual to join our expanding team as a Regulatory Compliance Lead. The ideal candidate will demonstrate dedication, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of responsibility, showcasing sound judgement. You will collaborate effectively with team members and exhibit adaptability in your approach. This role presents a unique opportunity for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate, execute, and uphold thorough compliance policies and protocols.
- Guarantee adherence to stakeholder requirements.
- Supervise health and safety standards and develop relevant policies for the organization.
- Ensure compliance with gas safety regulations, maintain accurate records, and perform routine inspections of gas systems.
- Oversee compliance in property management, ensuring alignment with legal obligations and best practice standards.
- Manage and assess Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and implementing necessary enhancements.
- Offer guidance and training to staff on compliance issues, promoting a culture of adherence.
- Investigate and address compliance breaches or concerns, executing corrective measures as needed.
- Stay informed on changes in real estate legislation and regulations, updating practices to ensure compliance.
- Ensure properties meet established quality and safety benchmarks through regular evaluations.
- Prepare documentation for senior leadership and external regulatory entities as required.
- Provide proactive insights, challenge assumptions, and review business practices to ensure effective risk management.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry developments, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance compliance operations.
