Job Title: Biobank Sample Coordinator

At Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Biobank Sample Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and recording clinical data onto specified databases, liaising with external Biobank off-site facilities, and working across two hospital sites as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and record clinical data onto specified databases.
  • Liaise with external Biobank off-site facility.
  • Work across two hospital sites as required.
  • Provide pseudo-anonymised clinical data to research groups.
Requirements:
  • Screen and evaluate eligibility of potential patients for participation in the Biobank.
  • Ensure that all Trust and departmental policies and procedures are implemented.
  • Contribute to the review and updating of laboratory Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
Working Environment:

The Biobank Sample Coordinator will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with clinical personnel, researchers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the sample collection service. The successful candidate will be required to operate and maintain equipment in accordance with departmental and manufacturer's policies and procedures.
