Junior Auction Operations Coordinator

Orion Group is excited to announce an opportunity for a Junior Auction Operations Coordinator to become part of a vibrant and innovative auction house specializing in fine spirits.
This role is designed for individuals eager to learn and grow within the auction industry, with the potential to evolve into a key liaison for the Director. The successful candidate will oversee various operational aspects of the business, engaging in tasks that encompass customer relations, administrative duties, data management, and support in logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inquiries through various communication channels in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Guide clients through the registration process and provide insights into auction procedures.
- Address client concerns promptly, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Organize collection timelines for whisky consignments from clients.
- Collaborate with logistics providers for the collection and distribution of auction items.
- Generate shipping documentation post-auction and troubleshoot any import/export challenges.
- Capture high-quality images of whisky bottles for auction listings.
- Compose precise and comprehensive descriptions for each item, detailing its condition.
- Assign bottles to respective orders and uphold meticulous records.
- Assist in the secure packaging of whisky bottles for transport.
- Monitor shipment progress and resolve any delivery-related issues.
- Input and maintain accurate information within the auction management system.
- Support additional administrative functions as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in a customer-facing role is advantageous.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
