The island of Gigha offers a unique opportunity to work in a remote and rural setting, providing 24-hour cover for the nursing needs of the community. As a proactive and innovative community nurse, you will relieve the caseload holder and work closely with the staff at Kintyre Medical Group to provide a coordinated approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes and in the community
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients
  • Conduct regular health checks and provide health education to patients
  • Respond to medical emergencies and work with other agencies to provide a coordinated response

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a strong clinical background and excellent assessment skills
  • Experience working in remote and rural settings, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with PGDs and a prescribing qualification is desirable
