About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Marketing Manager to join our team at Vodafone, a leading company in the IoT industry. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for driving product success through strategic positioning, messaging, and external content that resonates with our target audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver the annual Portfolio Marketing Plan for our Global IoT Connectivity portfolios, aligning with our business objectives and market trends.
  • Be the subject-matter-expert in understanding portfolio buyers and the Decision Making Unit (DMU), their challenges and drivers for product purchases, and provide insights to inform our marketing strategies.
  • Identify our 'right to win' and 'right to play' through detailed knowledge of customers, competitors, and the industry, and develop a comprehensive understanding of the global IoT Connectivity market.
  • Establish our differentiated positioning, messaging, and product naming for all products in the portfolio through cross-functional collaboration with our sales and marketing teams.
  • Develop and manage the delivery of a programme of customer-facing content, product thought-leadership, and collateral that Sales & Marketing Teams need to tell our story and win/accelerate orders.
  • Distribute Positioning/Messaging and Content Toolkits to Group & Local Sales & Marketing Teams, optimising usage and activation.
  • Be the lead point-of-contact for allocated projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Present to senior stakeholders and key Partners, when needed, to ensure alignment and buy-in for our marketing strategies.
  • Maintain an up-to-date activity calendar and reporting for all portfolio marketing activities, providing regular updates to our leadership team.
  • Manage all activities within agreed budgets and timescales, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost management.
Requirements
  • Expert working knowledge of technology product marketing, with a strong understanding of the global IoT Connectivity market and its trends.
  • In-depth understanding of the buying segments, audiences, their needs, and buying journeys, and the ability to develop marketing content aligned to these needs.
  • Experience in building marketing content that resonates with our target audiences, and a proven ability to work across a highly matrixed business.
  • Outcomes and results-driven mindset, with a focus on delivering exceptional results and driving business growth.
  • Proven ability to multitask and run cross-functional initiatives and projects, with excellent written communication, presentation, and story-telling skills.
  • Degree/Markeitng qualification desirable, and knowledge of IoT Connectivity technologies essential.
