Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Export Sales Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day queries and sales for non-UK business, assisting with UK sales when needed, and working closely with our warehouse team to ensure smooth order processing and dispatch.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage customer inquiries and respond to queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Process sales orders and ensure accurate and timely delivery of products
  • Liaise with the warehouse team to ensure efficient labelling and dispatch of products
  • Generate quotations and follow up with customers to secure new business
  • Check stock availability and liaise with procurement to purchase stock as required
  • Deal with import and export customs and shipping documentation
  • Upsell existing clients and identify new business opportunities
  • Work with our marketing team to target new customers and develop new business leads
  • Research market opportunities for our sectors overseas and identify new business opportunities
  • Develop and document export processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
  • Commercial qualification desirable
  • Reasonable qualifications in Maths and English essential
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of costs, profit, and good business practices
  • Good level of numeracy for basic math related to money, volumes, weights, etc.
  • Meticulous and accurate with a thorough and careful approach
  • Flexible, dedicated, and hardworking with a strong team player mentality
  • Strong ethics and supportive of our organisational culture
  • Excellent customer service skills with a polite and confident telephone manner
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to motivate and contribute to team meetings
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • High productivity levels and personal motivation with a strong sense of humour and kindness towards others
  • Ability to understand and maintain accurate reporting systems
  • Knowledge of sales, stock holding, and distribution activities
  • Knowledge of import/export procedures and documentation
  • Several years of demonstrable experience in sales and purchasing in a commercial environment, ideally in the food or plant products sector
  • Confident use of IT for business purposes, including MS Office products
