Tendering and Proposals Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tendering and Proposals Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for preparing and managing bespoke budgeted quotes for engineered service, sales, and/or rental scopes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate with Business Development personnel to receive and manage allocated leads for quote preparation and management.
  2. Draft technical proposals for bespoke sale and rental and service scopes using base product templates and engineering inputs.
  3. Populate commercial notes relative to pricing for specified scope and prepare detailed cost budgets.
  4. Work with the Technical team to define required components to be budgeted and ensure margin is maximised to commercial standard.
  5. Generate sell pricing for each scope using existing customer rates and required business margins.
  6. Prepare cashflow models per project based on outgoings projected from budget and propose a milestone payment schedule.
  7. Coordinate and record risk review for all required proposals and track all actions to close out.
  8. Pass all terms and conditions for review and negotiation to the contract team and ensure approval for any non-standard commercial condition requested or proposed.
  9. Prepare and track actions on outstanding quotes, opportunities to be quoted, and quotes to be followed up.
  10. Ensure revenue tracking reports are up to date at all times and communicate regularly with the Proposals Lead, Commercial Director, and other Team members.
  11. Conduct all activities in full compliance with commercial procedures, DOA, and all other applicable company processes.

Requirements

Experience

  1. Regular bespoke budget preparation experience.
  2. Fast-paced energy service industry experience of proposals and document writing.

Personal Qualities

Highly numerate and with excellent commercial acumen.
