Role Overview

Become an integral part of NFU Mutual's Regional Senior Technician Underwriting team, providing essential support to the Regional Underwriters. In this position, you will play a vital role in advising, mentoring, and guiding colleagues to ensure that our regions possess the requisite technical knowledge and skills to achieve objectives, Key Performance Indicators, and deliver outstanding customer service.

As a significant contributor to our organisation, you will be tasked with overseeing the administration and resolution of complex cases and referrals, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and achieving favorable outcomes for our members. Additionally, you will lead by example, mentoring and training team members to equip them with the technical proficiency and capabilities required to excel in their roles and maintain our commitment to exceptional customer service.

Moreover, you will participate in the strategic planning and enhancement of technical capabilities, nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring alignment with corporate policies and procedures. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring and reporting on technical activities and capabilities, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and driving efficiency and service improvements to benefit both our customers and the organisation.

Candidate Profile

To thrive in this role as a Regional Senior Technician, you should have a proven history of managing a diverse range of intricate Commercial Underwriting cases and referrals while providing technical expertise in a regulated environment. You should be able to demonstrate experience in developing and mentoring others or have supported your peers in gaining authority. Additionally, you will possess:

Strong communication and influencing abilities Keen attention to detail while applying practical and logical reasoning Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills Experience in building and maintaining relationships Experience in report writing (desirable)
