About the Role

Cygnet is a leading provider of specialist mental health services, and we are seeking an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) to join our team as a Bank Learning Disability Nurse Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality written reports based on nursing assessments and observations, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation.
  • Work closely with the management team to develop and improve the service, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Attend all training and engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to enhance knowledge and promote best practices in nursing.
  • Under the guidance of the NMC, ensure that individual care plans are complete, maintained, and regularly reviewed in collaboration with residents, relatives, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications in accordance with healthcare procedures and guidelines, ensuring patient safety and well-being.

Requirements

  • An experienced RMN/RNLD with a current Pin Number, possessing a good understanding of the latest nursing practices and a commitment to patient recovery.
  • The ability to maintain accurate documentation, undertake audits, and demonstrate integrity in your role.
  • Compassion, resilience, and a dedication to empowering and supporting service user independence.
  • Desirable: The ability to deputise in a clinical lead role and an interest in leadership, research, and assessment.
