About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Learning Disabilities Nurse to join our team at HMP Belmarsh, a high-security male prison. As part of this dynamic team, you will play a vital role in delivering nursing services to adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviors within the criminal justice system.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the guidance of the Mental Health Team Manager.
- Manage a designated caseload of patients with learning disabilities.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to conduct person-centered specialist behavioral assessments.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced nurse who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills, along with a strong understanding of best practices in learning disability care within a correctional setting.
