Role: Assistant Ward Manager/Nursing Leader - Fixed Term Contract
Department: Oncology Ward
We are excited to present an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated and skilled oncology nurse to step into the role of Assistant Ward Manager within the Oncology Ward at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This position is a fixed-term contract aimed at covering maternity leave.
The primary responsibility of the Assistant Ward Manager is to support the Ward Manager in delivering both clinical and managerial guidance within the ward environment. This role provides a unique chance to gain valuable insights into ward management while receiving support to cultivate the essential skills and knowledge required for the position.
We seek an innovative nursing professional eager to enhance their leadership capabilities, with a strong aptitude for problem-solving and a commitment to supporting the Ward Sister in clinical audits and research initiatives. Additionally, the role involves mentoring and guiding junior team members and nursing students.
Main Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate should possess or be pursuing a degree-level qualification and have a minimum of two years of experience in cancer care. Relevant specialized training in oncology is essential.
