We are seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking nurse to take on the role of Wintle Ward Manager, specializing in inpatient care within a female acute ward.

Wintle Ward accommodates 16 female patients diagnosed with mental health issues and/or personality disorders. We are in search of a Ward Manager who embodies a compassionate, non-judgmental, and inclusive approach, committed to delivering safe and high-quality care in an acute environment.

Main Responsibilities

As the Wintle Ward Manager, you will oversee the operational management, organization, and provision of exceptional nursing care and clinical leadership within the inpatient ward. Your role will involve maintaining and advancing nursing care to the highest standards possible within the available resources. The Ward Manager is recognized as a clinical leader, providing guidance, support, and education to the nursing staff.

You will collaborate with the multidisciplinary ward leadership team, which includes the Modern Matron, Consultant Psychiatrist, and Consultant Psychologist.

Your contributions will be vital in developing acute service offerings across the Adult Acute Pathway.

Additionally, you will work closely with the Senior Matron, Head of Nursing, Head of Service, and Clinical Director.

Job Responsibilities

Wintle Ward is a 16-bedded female acute ward for individuals with mental health diagnoses and/or personality disorders.

We engage in quality improvement (QI) initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and outcomes through evidence-based practices and are proud members of QNWA with accreditation.

Learning and development opportunities encompass Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP), Clinical Leadership in Healthcare, Psychosocial and Family Interventions, and Professional Nurse Advocacy (PNA).
