About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join our team at Travis Perkins, a leading distributor of building materials in the UK. As a Programme Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering business initiatives that drive growth and improvement across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure that all initiatives are aligned with our group and business unit strategies, and define initiative scopes and deliverables that are capable of delivering those strategies and business outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work with senior stakeholders to plan and design the initiative sub-portfolio and proactively monitor its overall progress with appropriate MI reporting.
  • Team Leadership: Establish the Programme and Project teams and appropriate resource models to deliver the initiatives within the sub-portfolio.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Collate and resolve any sub-portfolio level risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies that may arise.
  • Operational Metrics and Performance Management: Define operational measures and targets to ensure that initiative outputs are capable of delivering the defined benefits.
Requirements
  • Project and Portfolio Management: Proven experience in project and portfolio management, with a focus on strategic alignment and delivery.
  • Strategic Alignment and Planning: Strong understanding of business strategies and the ability to develop and implement plans to achieve them.
  • Communication and Reporting: Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior stakeholders.
  • Relevant Experience: Relevant experience in merchanting operations, branch processes, and technology projects.
