Position Overview:

Wartens Ltd is seeking motivated individuals to fill the role of Entry-Level PLC Programmer. This opportunity is with a prominent firm in the automation industry, recognized for delivering extensive property and infrastructure support services. Our client, a well-established and independently operated company, specializes in providing tailored building and facilities management solutions across various sectors, including utilities, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, and chemicals. As the company continues to expand, we are looking for Entry-Level PLC Programmers to join their growing team at multiple locations across England.


Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

  • Draft specifications and produce design documentation.
  • Configure and develop software for diverse automation applications.
  • Conduct safe testing and commissioning of systems in active operational settings.
  • Uphold high standards and consistency throughout the design and implementation phases.
  • Work collaboratively within a team and adapt to various work environments.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Siemens and Allen Bradley automation technologies.
  • Basic understanding of Siemens TIA Portal and Allen Bradley Studio 5000.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems.
  • Fundamental understanding of control systems and electrical principles.

Essential Requirements:

  • Must live within a 45-minute commute of the relevant office location.
  • Possess a valid UK driving license.
  • Willingness to relocate if required.
