About the Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Leader to join our team at Tesco. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that customers receive excellent service and that the store runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the team to deliver a clean, well-stocked store that exceeds customer expectations
  • Be the first point of contact for customers, listening to their needs and resolving any issues
  • Take ownership of running duty shifts, ensuring that the store is fully stocked and that customers have a positive experience
  • Coach and develop your team members to improve their skills and performance
  • Monitor and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, ensuring that customers leave the store with a positive impression
  • Work closely with the store management team to achieve sales and customer service targets
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of the job

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure. You will also need to be able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and be willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
