About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative individual to join our Enhanced High Care team as a Ward Clerk. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide an efficient and effective outpatient reception and appointments service, adhering to Trust protocols and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Utilize the Trust's computerized patient record system (QCPR) to manage outpatient appointments, update patient demographics, and activate clinic attendance.
  • Support the ongoing Outpatient Digitization process and participate in virtual receptionist activities.
  • Maintain good communication skills, utilizing verbal and electronic methods to interact with colleagues, patients, relatives, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Constructively manage barriers to effective communication and use initiative to resolve conflicts in a mutually agreeable way.
Person Specification
  • Good general standard of education, including Maths and English.
  • Experience of working in a changing environment, with computer literacy and understanding of Information Governance, Data Quality, and Patient Confidentiality.
  • Desirable: Previous NHS/Public sector experience, including direct customer care, and previous experience working within a busy outpatient appointments environment.
