Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking an exceptional Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Cygnet Health Care, a leading provider of specialist mental health services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Conduct comprehensive mental state examinations and assessments of service users
- Undertake investigations, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with complex mental health conditions
- Participate in ward rounds and clinical audits to ensure high-quality care
- Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings
- Participate in the telephone Second on-call rota to provide 24/7 support
- A competitive salary of up to £160,000 per year

- Fully GMC registered and MBBS (or equivalent) qualified

- Experienced and knowledgeable in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis
- Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
- A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess, and treat patients and write clear, comprehensive medical notes
- Committed to continued professional development
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- A member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent
