Job Title: Charge Nurse - Older Adult Mental Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team in the Older Adult Mental Health service at Leverndale Hospital. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and management to a team of nurses, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence within the service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and management to a team of nurses, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of patients, taking into account their lifestyle, gender, and cultural background.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote safe and effective care.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and promote partnership working with patients, carers, and other agencies.
  • Take charge of the ward in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse, ensuring continuity of care and maintaining high standards of patient care.
Requirements:
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Robust and relevant experience of working as a Band 5 Mental Health Nurse.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with patients with Organic Mental Health conditions.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and management skills, with a focus on promoting a culture of excellence within the service.
Working Hours:

This is a full-time post, working 37 hours per week. The shift pattern will include day and night shifts, with opportunities for flexible working arrangements.
