Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at ISS. As a Low Voltage Systems Technician, you will be responsible for providing electrical and building services engineering maintenance to our client properties, ensuring they operate smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys to identify electrical system installations and ensure compliance with national electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Draft electrical installation plans and technical diagrams to support maintenance and repair activities.
  • Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical systems in public spaces and buildings, including fault finding and troubleshooting.
  • Supervise ongoing electrical system installations and provide technical expertise to installation teams as needed.
  • Use blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete projects.
  • Complete work orders and record materials used on the job.
  • Identify electrical problems and repair them, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to operations.
  • Advise management on the replacement of aged electrical equipment to prevent hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshoot electrical issues using testing equipment.

Requirements

  • C&G 2382 - BS7671 IEE Wiring Regulation (Current Edition)
  • C&G 2391 Test & Inspection (Current Edition)
  • External Low Voltage Authorized Persons Qualification
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Security clearance to a high government level
  • First Aid (including Resuscitation)
  • Significant experience in providing electrical building services maintenance, including fault finding, maintenance, installation, and inspection/testing
  • Significant previous experience in providing reactive and PPM building services maintenance
  • Experience of working within FM or building services within commercial properties
  • Experience of working under strict Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments and method statements
