Overview of the Role
The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for delivering planned preventative and predictive maintenance services to ensure optimal performance and availability of factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and repairs on various equipment
- Respond to emergency repairs during unexpected equipment failures
- Skilled in repairing electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment across the facility
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Diagnose electrical issues, document findings, and suggest corrective actions
- Perform routine maintenance such as replacing contacts and inspecting motors as per guidelines
- Knowledge of PLC systems is advantageous but not mandatory
- Install and replace cables and conduits for new or existing equipment
Qualifications and Experience
- The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of electrical preventative engineering principles and condition-based monitoring systems.
- A formal technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, such as NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 Electrical, HNC, or equivalent, is required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industrial machinery and process equipment is essential.
- Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations and practices in a continuous process environment is crucial.
