Job Title: Industrial Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Engineer to join our team at MDE Group UK. As an Industrial Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing planned preventative and predictive maintenance services to our factory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and planned maintenance repairs of equipment to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Attend emergency/unscheduled repairs of factory equipment during unplanned shutdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Capable of repairing electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic devices to ensure smooth factory operations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment throughout the factory to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Safely use all hand and power tools to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to electrical failure, report conditions, and recommend steps to be taken to resolve issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance such as changing contacts, checking motors, according to instructions to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Install cables, conduit, for new equipment or replacing old ones to ensure seamless factory operations.

Requirements:

  • A sound knowledge of electrical preventative engineering principles with a comprehensive understanding of condition-based plant monitoring systems.
  • A formal technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, such as NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 Electrical, HNC, or equivalent.
  • A general knowledge of industrial plant and process equipment is essential.
  • A good working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and the application of continuous process environment.
