Work Schedule – Continental Shift (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off) 7:00am – 7:00pm
Overview of the Role
The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for delivering scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance services to ensure optimal operation of factory functions, adhering to established performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and planned maintenance repairs on machinery and equipment.
- Respond to emergency and unscheduled repairs during unexpected equipment failures.
- Possess the ability to repair electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks on various machines and equipment throughout the facility.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as replacing contacts and inspecting motors as per guidelines.
- Knowledge of PLC systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Install and replace cables and conduits for new or existing equipment.
Qualifications and Experience
- The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical preventive engineering principles and condition-based monitoring systems.
- A formal technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, such as NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 Electrical, HNC, or equivalent, is required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industrial plant and process equipment is essential.
- A strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations and their application in a continuous process environment is necessary.
