Salary Range – £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

Employment Type – Fulltime, Permanent Role

Work Schedule – Continental Shift (2 days 2 nights 4 off) 7:00am – 7:00pm

Role Overview

The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for delivering scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance services, ensuring optimal operational performance and availability of factory functions.

Key Responsibilities of the Industrial Electrician

  • Conduct routine and planned maintenance repairs on equipment.
  • Respond to emergency and unscheduled repair needs during unplanned downtimes.
  • Possess the capability to repair electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Execute preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment across the facility.
  • Utilize all hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical failures, documenting conditions and recommending corrective actions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as contact replacements and motor checks as per guidelines.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Install and replace cables and conduits for new or existing equipment.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical preventative engineering principles and condition-based monitoring systems.
  • A formal technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, such as NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 Electrical, HNC, or equivalent, is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industrial plant and process equipment is essential.
  • A solid understanding of Health and Safety regulations and their application in a continuous process environment is necessary.
