Job Role

As a Children's Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing and development of children and young people in care. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing emotional support and guidance to children and young adults
  • Assisting with daily routines and activities
  • Organizing and facilitating social activities
  • Transporting children and young adults to appointments and activities
  • Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practice
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of care plans and risk assessments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with children and young adults in a care setting
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Child and Young People's Workforce (CYP) is desirable
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following areas: EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEN/SEND
  • An enhanced DBS check, which can be applied for upon registration
  • A Full UK Driving License (desirable)
