Job Overview

Exceptional Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Responsible Individual for our residential homes. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of care and service delivery in accordance with our company's values, vision, policies, and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in children's social care, with experience in responding to the needs of looked-after children, local authority care planning duties, and supporting children's homes to meet regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the management and delivery of services to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain good communicative relationships with children, young people, and their families.
  • Provide professional support, training, guidance, and supervision to residential managers and staff.
  • Ensure person-centred care plans are established, renewed, maintained, and implemented for each child each month.
  • Manage allocated resources effectively and efficiently, including financial management.
  • Support the daily and weekly management of services, particularly during periods of leave.
  • Work with professional colleagues to identify and meet the needs of each child or young person.
  • Implement, create, and monitor a framework of care systems to ensure high-quality care delivery.
  • Conduct audits and provide reports to the board on a regular basis.
  • Be involved in staff disciplinary procedures and lead on mediation, human resource procedural requirements, and safer recruitment.
