The ideal candidate will have a strong background in children's social care, with experience in responding to the needs of looked-after children, local authority care planning duties, and supporting children's homes to meet regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the management and delivery of services to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain good communicative relationships with children, young people, and their families.
- Provide professional support, training, guidance, and supervision to residential managers and staff.
- Ensure person-centred care plans are established, renewed, maintained, and implemented for each child each month.
- Manage allocated resources effectively and efficiently, including financial management.
- Support the daily and weekly management of services, particularly during periods of leave.
- Work with professional colleagues to identify and meet the needs of each child or young person.
- Implement, create, and monitor a framework of care systems to ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Conduct audits and provide reports to the board on a regular basis.
- Be involved in staff disciplinary procedures and lead on mediation, human resource procedural requirements, and safer recruitment.
