Shift Manager - German Doner Kebab

The role of a Shift Manager is essential in assisting the franchisee to ensure the establishment operates smoothly and profitably in line with company standards and procedures. You will directly oversee, mentor, and motivate all team members to guarantee they deliver complete customer satisfaction and high-quality products consistently while managing expenses and enhancing sales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, supporting the General Restaurant Manager in the development of food offerings and services.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement strategies to drive restaurant performance as set by the Restaurant Manager, focusing on sales and profitability.
  • Marketing Initiatives: Execute marketing strategies, including promotional events and discount programs.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports at the end of each shift/week, covering staff management, food inventory, waste control, and sales figures.
  • Sales and Staff Development: Create and implement plans for departmental sales growth, profit enhancement, and staff training.
Stock Management:
  • Order and requisition food and supplies to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain stock levels through regular ordering and timely placement of special orders.
  • Collaborate with other Supervisors and Managers to coordinate stock deliveries and maintain accurate records.
  • Inspect supplies and work areas to ensure compliance with established standards.
Training and Development:
  • Provide training and ongoing support to staff members, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles.
  • Maintain high grooming standards for staff to present a professional image.
  • Ensure storage areas are secure, organized, and hygienic at all times.
  • Uphold food quality and presentation standards.
  • Foster a polite and efficient team that delivers exceptional service consistently.
  • Engage with customers to ensure their satisfaction and address any queries or complaints.
  • Conduct thorough training on health and safety procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities for additional revenue generation.
  • Possess knowledge of ingredients and cooking methods for customer inquiries.
  • Prepare duty rosters while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Assist team members as needed.
  • Minimize waste effectively.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and motivate others while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Hold a basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Conduct daily staff briefings to ensure punctuality and readiness for shifts.
  • Monitor and record temperatures of storage units regularly.
  • Coordinate maintenance needs for the store.
  • Adhere to the company's equal opportunities policy.
  • Ensure safety in service to prevent accidents.
  • Safeguard cash and credit card transactions.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
