Reliability Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse environment, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to maximize equipment effectiveness.
- Uphold all health and safety policies and practices, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices, providing guidance and mentorship to help them grow in their roles.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and implement best practices across multiple EU sites.
As a Reliability Maintenance Engineer, you will be based on-site, allowing you to respond quickly to any machinery issues that arise. Your day will be filled with a range of planned preventative maintenance tasks, as well as responding to breakdowns and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.
You will work closely with senior colleagues to undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks, such as painting and plumbing, and will liaise with contractors as needed to access external expertise. Your flexibility and willingness to work on a range of shifts will ensure that our sites are supported around the clock, allowing Amazon to deliver at the speed we're known for.
About the TeamOur Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is a technically-minded group of excellent team players, guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers, handling most aspects of Amazon's technical side.
From installing automated packaging systems to overseeing the general maintenance of a site, our team handles a wide range of tasks to keep our equipment performing at its best. We are committed to reducing downtime in Amazon's operations sites, ensuring that customers receive their orders on time.
Requirements- NVQ Level 3 (or international equivalent) in an engineering discipline or another practical engineering qualification.
- Relevant experience as a qualified engineer, with a strong background in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
- Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing.
- Experience in condition-based monitoring.
- Experience working with print and apply machines.
- Experience in fault-finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systems.
