Job Title: General Manager

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer providing fresh and innovative food services to independent schools and colleges.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our catering team to deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality food experiences to our students and staff. As a General Manager, you will work closely with our chefs, kitchen staff, and other teams to develop and implement menus, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of catering staff to deliver excellent customer service and high-quality food experiences.
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Manage budgets and ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining quality standards.
  • Establish strong relationships with school Bursars, Head Teachers, and faculty.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise catering staff.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality control protocols.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and improvement in menu offerings, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Deputy General Manager in a high-volume, quality-focused environment.
  • Financially astute, with excellent analytical and budgeting skills.
  • Excellent coaching, delegation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.
  • Meticulous organizational abilities and a high attention to detail.
  • Empathetic, clear, and highly effective verbal and written communication.
