About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Pioneer Selection. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in driving health, safety, and environmental improvements across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of an effective Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) strategy, aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice, coaching, and leadership to operational management and employees on HSE matters, promoting a safety-first culture and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Conduct regular safety tours, inspections, accident investigations, and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) related to safety, health, and environment.
  • Manage the distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure all staff receive proper safety induction training, promoting a culture of safety awareness and responsibility.
  • Coordinate site-specific and group Health and Safety Committees, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A strong background in health, safety, and environmental management within a manufacturing or industrial setting, with a proven track record of implementing effective HSE strategies and promoting a safety-first culture.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to challenge unsafe behaviors and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification or equivalent, demonstrating a high level of expertise in HSE matters.
