Corporate Banking Director

About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Corporate Banking Director to join our team at Selby Jennings, specializing in the Natural Resources sector. As a key member of our Corporate & Investment Banking team, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and expanding client coverage within the Natural Resources sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Coverage and Business Development: Expand our client base and develop new business opportunities within the Natural Resources sector, focusing on clients in Mining, Energy, and Power industries.
- Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth through lending and multi-product strategies across various regions, leveraging your expertise in corporate banking and industry relationships.
- Customer-Focused Culture: Lead a customer-centric approach to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, fostering a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Industry Relationships: Develop and maintain effective industry relationships with clients, lenders, and advisors, staying up-to-date on market trends and regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop junior team members, managing work flows effectively and promoting a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- 8+ years of experience in corporate banking covering the Natural Resources (Mining, Energy and Power) sector.
- University Degree or MBA, CFA or CA designation encouraged but not required.
- Previous corporate banking or credit analysis experience.
- Strong financial modeling skills and accounting knowledge.
- Advanced Microsoft Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
