Position Overview:
Questech Recruitment Ltd is seeking a dedicated Mobile Service Engineer to provide exceptional service to our clients across the UK. This role involves traveling to various customer locations to perform maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of Forklift Trucks and Material Handling Equipment.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Level 4 Technician qualification or equivalent apprenticeship in the Forklift, HGV, or Automotive sectors. Previous experience in a similar capacity, such as a Field Service Engineer or Forklift Technician, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
Your primary duties will include:

  • Delivering a professional and efficient service to customers by maintaining and repairing materials handling equipment to the highest standards.
  • Ensuring that all service documentation, including servicing sheets and breakdown reports, is completed accurately and promptly.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized service vehicle, ensuring that stock levels are appropriate for the customer base.
  • Utilizing company-issued tools and safety equipment responsibly, reporting any deficiencies immediately.
  • Upholding quality workmanship while minimizing risks to personal safety and that of others.

Work Schedule:
This position operates Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.

Compensation:
The salary for this role is competitive, with a potential earnings cap of £35,000, depending on experience. Additional benefits include overtime opportunities, a company van, and a performance-related bonus, with total earnings averaging around £45,000 annually, alongside an attractive pension scheme.

Overtime and Incentives:
Overtime is available based on workload, compensated at time and a half. There is also an option for Saturday morning work at the same rate, though this is not mandatory. Employees can opt for a shorter lunch break, which will count as additional paid overtime.

Location and Transport:
This role is home-based, with occasional travel to a local depot for supplies. A fully equipped service van will be provided, which can be used for personal purposes in accordance with government guidelines.

Experience Requirements:
Candidates should have a proven track record in repairing and maintaining Forklift Trucks, Plant Vehicles, or similar machinery. Training will be provided on-site as necessary.
