Job Opportunity: Aviation Insurance Specialist

About the Role:

Jameson Legal is seeking an experienced Aviation Insurance Specialist to join our team in London. As a leading international firm, we have a strong reputation in the markets in which we operate, providing dispute resolution and advisory services to our clients.

The successful candidate will be part of our Aviation liability team, handling a high volume of claims from start to finish, including pre-action injury claims, airline baggage claims, and delay claims. Our team has extensive experience in supporting, advising, and representing the aviation sector and its insurers, from private flying to global air carriers and product manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling a high volume of claims from start to finish, with a focus on aviation insurance litigation;
  • Managing a complex, busy caseload, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;
  • Providing strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues;
  • Adopting a proactive approach, taking initiative, and demonstrating a strong work ethic;
  • Developing and maintaining strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders;
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients, attending business development events, and contributing to the growth and development of our aviation insurance practice.

Requirements:

  • Qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales, with 2-4 years' PQE (or CILEX equivalent) in relevant aviation insurance litigation experience;
  • Previous experience of handling a high volume of claims from start to finish, with a proven ability to manage a complex, busy caseload;
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues;
  • The ability to adopt a proactive approach, take initiative, and demonstrate a strong work ethic;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders;
  • Previous client contact and attendance at business development events.
