Position Overview

Purpose of the Role

The Aviation Fueling Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely refueling of commercial aircraft in accordance with airline service agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently refueling aircraft using specialized tanker vehicles as instructed by Supervisors or through daily operational documentation.
  • Adhering to all relevant regulations, including Airport protocols, Health & Safety standards, and Security measures.
  • Managing on-board aircraft systems in line with established procedures.
  • Accurately documenting refueling activities both manually and digitally.
  • Conducting thorough inspections of fueling vehicles, ensuring compliance with quality control measures and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Ensuring all fueling vehicles are adequately supplied with fuel and necessary lubricants.
  • Maintaining effective communication with flight operations for real-time updates.
  • Reporting incidents and preparing necessary documentation as required.
  • Performing additional tasks as directed by management.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Possession of a valid HGV C or HGV C+E driving license (CPC & ADR certifications are advantageous, with CPC training provided).
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills, complemented by effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Previous experience in aircraft refueling is essential.
  • A verifiable five-year employment history is required.
  • Capability to pass airside driving medical assessments.
  • Eligibility to obtain an airside security pass.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on leadership and adaptability.
