Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Autism Support

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism, Speech and Language needs, and other Special Educational Needs.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced teaching staff, therapists, and support staff to deliver tailored interventions that cater to the individual needs of our students. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, making a real difference in the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the class teacher in providing a supportive learning environment for students
  • Provide behaviour and pastoral support to students
  • Work collaboratively with therapists to develop and implement individualized plans
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Deliver interventions in small groups and one-to-one settings
  • Ensure the safeguarding of students, adhering to our school's procedures
  • Participate in staff meetings and complete relevant CPD
Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about working with children with Special Educational Needs. While experience is not necessary, you should demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow with our team. You must have the right to work in the UK and be available to start in September 2024.

What We Offer:

We provide excellent on-site training, support, and CPD to ensure the safeguarding of all students. You will be working in a term-time only position, with a competitive daily rate of £85-£95. We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all our staff and students.

Candidates registering with Academics Ltd will need to have or apply for an Enhanced DBS and/or overseas police check where appropriate.
